My approach to design is rooted in the intersection of mechanical precision and strategic communication. I bridge the gap between digital design and physical precision, following a technical path that began with foundational service at Goodyear Tires and advanced into the Honda dealership network. In the 1990s, I was responsible for the high-volume installation of AC systems for new Civics, later transitioning into performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new Honda and VW inventory and the technical reconditioning of used vehicles.
This journey led me to Howard's Engineering, where I specialized in Toyota manual transmission rebuilding. My work focused on applying specialized kits and mastering the precision regrinding of gears to exact OEM tolerances—a skill set reinforced by my Associate of Science in Machine Technology.
Parallel to my mechanical career, I have cultivated a mastery of documentation and visual narrative. With a BA in English, an MFA in Creative Nonfiction, and an AA in Graphic Design, I possess a unique ability to translate complex engineering failures into clear, forensic analyses. My experience self-publishing the novel Wheels demonstrates the project management discipline required to bring complex systems from concept to market.
To modernize these skills for the next generation of automotive R&D, I earned a Certificate in Digital Fabrication in Design and Engineering and am currently pursuing an Associate of Science in CAD Technology alongside the Honda PACT program at Pasadena City College. I am a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) and am currently preparing for CATIA (3DEXPERIENCE) certification to align with Honda’s global R&D standards.
As a Double OSHA 30 Specialist and EPA Section 609 Certified Technician, I use graphic design, technical writing, and generative AI to document and visualize the future of performance engineering, integrating digital fabrication to prototype and validate safety-critical systems. I ensure that in the world of performance racing, safety is not just a rule—it is a compelling, well-documented framework that enables absolute speed.
